    By the time your child is 12 weeks old he/she is physically capable of sleeping through the night (12 hours). I can makes changes and you have the results less than a week. If I am your Night Nurse for 3 months I can guarantee your baby will be sleeping through the night by the end of my contract.

What is a Newborn Care Specialist?

A Newborn Care Specialist is a person who received specialized education in the care of newborns. Their training is focused on the care of newborns through the first three months of life. Newborn care Specialist is different from Doula in that their role is specifically geared towards infant care and educating the parents on newborns issues.

Common Newborn Specialist Duties:

  • Circumcision and umbilical care
  • Bottle cleaning and sterilization
  • Educate and teach parents how care for the baby
  • Help and assist with breastfeeding issues
  • Colicky and Reflux
  • Organization & maintenance of the nursery
  • Soothing techniques
  • bathing, diapering, and swaddling
  • Creating a regular feeding schedule
  • Assist in establishing healthy sleep patterns
  • Sleep-training the newborn if applicable
  • Maintain the log's baby of eating, sleeping and behavioral patterns
  • Complete care of the newborn at night
  • Provide parents time to sleep
  • Bring newborn to nursing mom (if breastfeeding)

What is a Postpartum Doula?

Postpartum Doula is a non-judgmental woman. Nurturing mothers to recover from childbirth and transition with the new baby home. She is a non-medical caregiver, who helps the mother adjust to her life in the home with the newborn. She supports the mom and dad emotional and provide information for their concerning. She is a breastfeeding support for the mom and the baby She provides care for older siblings and keeps the household running, so the mother and baby can rest, bond and recover.

Common Postpartum Doula Duties:

  • Grocery shopping and errands (for day shift only)
  • Caring for older siblings if you have any
  • Emotional, physical e educational support
  • light meals (daytime only)
  • Help with breastfeeding  for mom and baby
  • Assistance with baby care, bathing, swaddling and soothing techniques
  • light housekeeper (if the time permits)    
  • Baby laundry
